Hope this helps.Enhanced sound quality: ASTRO Gaming A10 Gen 2 Headset for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac features custom-tuned 32mm dynamic drivers so you can always hear your game and teammates with clarity and precisionįlip-to-mute mic: Integrated boom microphone that can be flipped up to mute for privacy and down for crystal-clear comms via a 6.0 mm unidirectional mic Superhuman hearing setting good for hearing directional sounds in FPS games, but does muddle the sound. I have had 0 connection issues and I can walk around my entire place and listen to music from the XSX without it cutting out.Īpp lets you change sound settings and map buttons.Īccording to the people I game with the mic was the clearest of all 3 headsets I tested and even sounded better than the Lucidsound set. I can somewhat tune how I would like them to sound, no true EQ.Ĭonnects right away when turned on. Pros: - I can hear instruments in songs I did not even know were there on the Arctis 3. I do not own anything that has or uses it so if I lose this cord I have to buy a new one. The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 is my clear winner.Ĭons: - Wireless and have to be charged. I would still really like to try the Arctis 7X, but they are not in stock on Amazon, Walmart, etc where I can easily return them. The removable 3.5mm cord is a joke because it is not a traditional one you can easily replace yourself. They are fairly comfortable, but not great. I see some suggestions in comments, but most seem to be for wireless and many reviews say they have many problems.įinal update: I am returning the SteelSeries Arctis 3 headset. Willing to try other headsets if people have suggestions. Right now I only have about an hour on each. I will report back on my post about this once I have given both ample time. They both feel a little tight above my ears. So far neither one is as comfortable as LS31LE, but about as comfy as XO One. So far neither one sounds as good as LS31LE, but def better than XO One & A50 Gen 1. So far: I am not happy that Arctis 3 & Cloud Alpha do not have all controls on headset, you have to go into Xbox settings to change.

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 look nice, but there is no wire involved and it seems like people are having a lot of issues with USB headsets. I was willing to try the highly recommended Arctis 7X, but they are not in stock anywhere. I am now testing SteelSeries Arctis 3 Wired and HyperX Cloud Alpha on XSX. For some reason the ear cushions are square? They were used so perhaps the battery used to last longer. I tried used Astro A50 Gen 1 with Mixamp (for a week) and they sounded shittier than $10 earbuds I got at TJ Maxx 10 years ago. The controls on the controller adapter are convenient and easy to use. I couldn't stray too far from the console without cutting out. They are light and comfortable enough, but not great.

Purchased new.īefore them I had Turtle Beach XO One for a few years. Pros: sound good, on headset controls, comfort. They completely died at 1 year and 2 months. They cut in and out and make beeping sounds all the time while sitting 10 feet from the XSX. The mic often has issues making fart sounds & echoing. It will have major connection issues if you try. The stupid USB dongle is long & does not work if plugged into rear USB on XSX or X1X if you have an external drive attached.

The plastic that connects the swivel part of the headset to the band cracked in less than 6 months with no drops. After a year I am lucky if they last 1 hour. The battery started out lasting about 6-8 hours and after about 6 months went down to 5-6. I tried Lucidsound LS31LE and it has been the worst headset I have ever used. Having to go into the Xbox menu to change sound settings is not convenient. Having to charge my headset is not convenient (The models I tried lasted 3-6 hours on a 4-8 hour charge). I am trying to find a great sounding headset for music, chat, and gaming on my XSX that is also convenient and comfortable for $150 or less.
